SCCM – Testing Boot Media in Hyper-V

1. Launch <Hyper-V Manager>.
2. <Right Button> on the Virtual Machine you want to test with and select <Settings>:

   

3. Select the ‘IDE Controller 1’ and select <Image File>. Click Browse and browse to the Boot Media ISO, in this case ‘\\cccs001buildimages\sccmbootmedia.iso’ – click <OK>:

   

4. Start the Virtual Machine and press any key when prompted:

   

5. At the ‘Welcome’ screen, enter the Boot Media Password and click <Next>:

   

6. Select the ‘Task Sequence’ you want to apply and click <Next>:

   

7. The ‘Task Sequence’ should now starting running and the machine will reboot back to Windows once complete:
